Our Mission?

To ‘Deliver a Smile to a Child’ who is battling a life-threatening illness. If we can make a child’s day a little brighter, when it seems as though they don’t have much to smile about, then we’ve made a huge difference in their life. Through love, prayer, encouraging words, gifts, and cards we hope to accomplish that and much more!

How are children referred to us and what do they receive?

Smile Delivery Foundation works by referrals from Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and other hospitals in the state of Louisiana. Our referral form contains a gift option list where each child, or parent of the child, is able to choose their gifts. We love to personalize the gifts we deliver to a child because we want each child to receive items that are of interest to them. In addition to a child’s gift choices; they each receive a reusable tote bag, t-shirt, oral hygiene pack, ClubHouse magazine from Focus on the Family, and the option to receive a KJV Holy Bible with their name engraved. How do we help the parents and other family members of a sick child?

We understand that parents and siblings of a sick child have needs, too, but many times their needs are pushed to the side. Therefore, we supply our inpatient families with a care package filled with personal hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, toothpaste, and toothbrush. We also supply other important items like bottled water, snacks, magazines, inspirational books, encouraging cards, and many other items when they’re available.

We truly understand what an act of love and kindness can do to lift a child’s spirit, and our hope is to provide comfort, strength, and hope to those facing an unimaginable journey.
